Gary, don't let something as minor as a bad knee and gout stop you from driving your truck, in 1973 I had a pretty seirious motorcyle wreck, wore a straight cast on my leg from crotch to toes for 366 days, on crutches for 15 mo.s and back to work in 17. when the wreck happened I was driving a 1969 GTX, 440 4speed, drove for a few days just shifting without the clutch,(unhandy at a light) then discovered that I could push the clutch in with a hacksaw, took the car to the front-end shop and told them what I was doing and to give the car a GOOD line-up, that way I could take both hands off the wheel at the same time without running off the road, drove the car for another year, raced, and did all the things that a normal 23 yr old does except walk!! So.... it goes back to the old saying, if theres a will theres a way!!! Dave.
