Well, I actually took all the codes I could find to the paint guy and he looked them up on his computer. He said none of the old codes matched anything he could cross reference now.
I didn't try any other paint stores. I figured that since it was a big name paint store, that their computer data base was as complete as anybody's. That may not be true.
If I went to a Dupont store with an old Dupont code or to a Ditzler store with a Ditzler code, I might have better luck finding a code they could use.
Anyway, I have not put much effort into finding the right paint, I was just hoping somebody had figured this out already or someone had the formula for a close match. But, as far as I can find, the old codes listed on the web sites are not much use.
By the way, I'm looking for Pontchartrain green.
