You recently got an almost 60 year old truck which you probably knew next to nothing about (That's the way most of us buy these trucks). After an hour of running or so, you noticed the oil pressure was near zero.
Absent some evidence the truck was rebuilt in the last 15 or 20 years, there is good chance this engine will need a rebuild.
Sure, do all the checks you need to reassure yourself there is not a lesser problem that can be fixed. But, most likely you're going to need to break the piggy bank and come up with about $2,500 plus a lot of time and effort to get a new engine installed.
Unless the truck is a a pretty nice, rust-free and complete truck, you might be better off expending your resources on a truck which might yield better results in the end.
