We used some MEP's at a cryogenic gas plant I worked at in the summer of '81. They were driving gas compressors. We holed some pistons from running them to slow so we got to take them apart. We added turbos (the biggest I've seen to date) and cranked the rpm's up to 2350 from 1700. They are still running just fine at the higher speed. Dang I miss the cool machinery we had in the oilfield.
