If you have a spur gear, there is no oil seal. You may have a washer (inside side of bearing) that functions as an oil slinger or it may be built into the bearing itself. Any oil that gets by should drain back into the tranny from the drain hole in the bottom of the retainer. These are the things that can be causing it:

- Bad input shaft bearing;
- Plugged drain hole;
- Worn out pilot bearing in crank.
