Oh well, another story of a good lost American industry. Living near Milwaukee for years and through work, I sold Allis Chalmers equipment for heat treating a number of years ago. Thanks to union strife, the company downsized and eventually sold out to Siemens to continue making power generators. The facilities are now dead and vacant, with one section turned into the all important shopping mall.

Then there was the time a 70 megawatt turbine launched a few miles during the oversppeed test. But that's another story...
