OK, not as big as the one you cite, but Electro-Motive Division of General Motors makes some large diesels, mainly for locomotives but they have been used in tugboats, huge-by-large dump trucks and stationary power plants.

The basic models are 567, 645 & 710. These numbers happen to be the cubic inches of EACH cylinder. You then multiply the cubies by the number of cylinders, which have come in 6, 12, 16 & 20 (not in all series).

That's a lot of cubies.

My grandfather was a Master Machinist for Northern Pacific Railway.
