Don't replace it! Take the gear reduction box (GRB) off the front of the 203 (5.75" long), get an adapter from www.offroaddesign.com, marry it to a NP205, and have a 203/205 with 2.01 and 3.94 low ranges. The total length of the new monstrosity will be almost exactly the same as the old NP203, weight will be more. They'll have you add a crossmember, their steel adapter is 3" long and equipped with a "shoe" for a crossmember & rubber isolator. Likely the rear driveline won't need work, maybe not even the front. The $300-400 you might save on driveline work will make up for the $700 cost of the adapter (worth it if you can afford it, lower gearing NEVER hurts, especially with automatics).
