I was running through some '60s Antartic home movies looking at Sno-cats and the like, presumably made by a Navy man on Deep Freeze or one of it's successors, and there's a few seconds of PWs parked up, presumably at the McMurdo base.
Looks like two perfectly stock PW pickups, one in Navy grey with a passengers door that didn't match and one that looked to have been blown-over with high-visibility orange. No modifications visible at all, except that the tyres were so large the rear arches were completly filled.
Doesn't mean anything, of course, but at least you know that PWs were now represented on every continent.
