I looked at a few of the 3.3QSB engines and in something like a Jeep, or Sami or similar they would be stellar, but even with the power bump of the Common Rail system on the QSB engines, you are still going to be wanting more. Additionally you gotta be careful with the original application of the QSB series of engines. Most of them were built for industrial applications for pumps and gensets. In my quest for a QSB4.5 I learned a lot about how expensive and pain it was going to be just to simply have the ECM program flashed over to allow the engine to run variable rpm. Legacy is paying an arm and a leg to do what they do.

Charles at M Series rebuild has better experience with this though. I am not sure if he is just running Electronic controlled VP44 pumps or if his new stuff is straight up CP3 common rail.
