I agree with you to a point Mike but think about this...If you take a mint condition 57-60 W300 PG, with 16" SRW's or DRW with the factory 9' bed & dually fenders, whether it be restored or a mint low mile original...it'll sell for somewhere around $20-$25k. If you install a roof mounted radio & you have a SRW truck with 19.5" rims & NOS Goodyear traction tires & the Custom cab stainless trim...she's still gonna sell somewhere around $20-$25k. The reason for that is because usually the guy buying that restored truck isn't a Power Wagon nut like us...he's a guy with lots of money collecting cool vehicles & probably doesn't even know those options exist...or care.
I love them...you love them but I don't think the guy bucking up will pay for them.
For example...if you have a WDX with a factory rear PTO & you want to sell the truck for maximum dollar...take the rear PTO off & sell it separately & you'll get substantially more for your truck.
That's what I did with my WDX & when I sold it it sold for $28k. No chance it would have sold for $30k+ with the rear PTO...we're talking 10 years ago.
