I would say that it doesn't transition too well from idle to load. It will gasp/hesitate if I transition too quickly. In limited testing (low speed, 1st gear) it does accelerate and run.

I did turn the idle screw all the way down and this did seem to improve the above problem (along with major backfires), but I was unable to get it to impact the idle speed.

I will check for leaks. It does seem to idle pretty high, I don't have a tach but it didn't seem to be in the mid to low 100's.
