As posted before my truck runs great when you first start her up like this morning i fired it up and let it run for about five minutes then i drove it about a mile when all the sudden it starts sputtering like its running out of gas or something similar to that. The fuel filter is full of fuel so i doubt that fuel is an issue. Per Milo in PA's suggestion this morning i removed the carb and looked at the butterfly valve below. it was strait up and down (open) and still spring loaded however the engine had cooled overnight. It runs great until it gets good and warmed up it seems. THe heat riser is rolling forward when the truck has ran for a bit then it cools and roles back over the pipe going to the exhaust manifold. I will post a photo. I put a new ballast resistor thinking maybe it was something with the coil. At this point im out of ideas. I do need to look dow the carb when the motor is warm to check for obstruction like the governor butterfly valve but a white smokey cloud is all i see when i look down the carb after its warm. Im out of ideas, its getting fuel it runs great until it been driven for a few minutes the it acts erratic sputtering along the road sounding like crap and no power. Heat is having an effect on it i believe. My heat riser is moving forward about 45 degrees. Any ideas are welcome?
