Clutch adjustment is personal preference. I like mine tight enough that I need only to press the pedal only about a couple inches to disengage it. This is still loose enough to not allow slippage.

Your cooling system has a bypass - either by the design of the head, or by the design of the water pump and thermostat housing - that allows air to escape from the block and some coolant to flow back into the block even when the thermostat is closed. The thermostat WILL open even if the block is not completely filled when the engine is warm.

I would get the part number of the dimmer switch from a MoPar parts manual and start checking around on availability and price. Any local supplier like NAPA or CARQUEST that still has paper lists, rather than all computer, should be able to cross reference it. Or, there are several companies now who specialize in Power-Wagon parts.
