You need the small block version or get a conversion to use the big block transmission. Do you have the transmission yet? The small block versions can be had on craiglist for 200 dollars, bought three myself, there are two versions of the small block transmission, one has a blue data plate and one has a black data plate, the black one was made in Germany and the blue one was made in the US. The German made version will shutter when you lug the truck at lower rpm's, its the way the Germans cut the gears, just keep the rpm's up a little and its fine. If you go with the Zf when you replace the internal slave get the metal version of that and your good to go, buy the plastic one you will be replacing about every year. Fleabag!!
