The PW hangs instead of sits but the same rules apply, it's just harder. I had to install some extra washers under one side of the transfer case on my PW in order to clock the case to match the rear axle.

Since the input and output of the t-case are parallel I had to do the same to the trans output so that all three pieces had the same angle.

There are ways to compensate such as the CV or cardain joints in an axle, but it's not usually ideal and of course would require new driveshafts to be built.
