Chris. I have lived in Sandpoint, Idaho since 1971. We have had a huge variety of winters. Lots of snow to no snow. Always plenty of ice, whether it's packed snow or just plain old black ice. I have found the tall, narrow tires work best. And if they are radial tires, they are even better. Problem is, the fair weather residents of this country who drive 4x4 vehicles have conditioned the tire industry to go for looks rather than function. About the only way you can get a tall, narrow tire is in the bias ply world. I have STA super lug 900 16 tires on the WDX. I would recommend them for your application. And they are available in 750 16, or at least they were at one time.
Jerry
