I happen to dislike the vbulletin forums. They track you. People can see when you are online. I do not need for someone to know where and when I am around. I do not need someone seeing me online and poking me to start a conversation that is what a phone is for. They say you can go silent on those forums, don't believe it. These forums are always "opt out" which means everything about you is public unless you "opt out". The correct way to do it is "opt in", which means everything is private until you expressly request it to be made public.
I have been a subscriber to the Advertiser since the 80's and will not join his form for the above reasons. I would like to but I do not need the hassle of putting more of my private information and life online. I will visit the Advertiser forum from time to time but only as a guest which limits what I can see. Too bad these forums are limited unless you give up your privacy.
