got my points dist wired in. installed new coil. msd coil. lead from key switch to + on coil. neg on coil to tab on dist. was able to get a pretty good spark. have the dist installed and can get it to turn over and sometimes run. cant get the motor to catch and it dies promptly. coil gets hot quickly. any thoughts? could the failing pertronix / coil cause any other damage?
