Sorry to hear about this. While I've never met you, I can tell you are the kind of guy that will beat this. I've had four people at my college with cancer who are now in remission. They attribute this to a positive attitude and willingness to fight, and of course good treatment.
Colon cancer runs in my family so your diagnosis strikes a very personal chord with me. I've had six colonoscopies since I was 21 with benign polyps removed twice. I'm scheduled for my next one in November.
For the rest of you guys on the forum: if you are 50 or older, get a colonoscopy ASAP and then one every five years. If this cancer runs in your family (maternal or paternal) and you are under 50, get the procedure scheduled soon.
