in a big rig the gear ratios are much closer together nad that makes no clutch shifting much easier. the spread on your 4 speed is big so if you live where there are hills double clutching will be needed in my erperience. its kind of all one motion. push clutch into to pull it out of gear, let clutch out as you go into neutral, push clutch back in to engage nest gear, let clutch out and accelerate. it all happens kinda quick.
Downshifting I only push clutch in once to get it out of gear then let it out, then lightly tap gas pedal to raise rpms to match wheel speed and down shift.
