command car exhaust

hi. took the command car to the local car meet up. about 30 miles roundtrip. no vapor lock, no stumbles. when i start the truck, i get a little wet vapor / soot out of the exhaust. how do i know? started the truck while my bride was buckling the kids in. wont do that again!!!
