I've had 3 mates about my age have the same sort of operation, although one also had a pacemaker fitted. All survived and all doing really well. in particular have given up the working business and now spend their time restoring trucks. They completed a C1800 International semi in 2002 and are almost finished a B model Mack. Plenty to look forwards to.
