Dave Fraser and wife, Christine, put on another outstanding event for us. Had a great time!

Huge thanks to Dan Mininger for "service after the sale" on my 1967 WM300. Dan changed the output yoke on the NP 435 transmission to a Spicer with a strap-style U-joint to lessen the angle of the intermediate shaft and prevent the -joint from slipping in the cross. He also swapped carbs on the truck since the NOS Stromberg WW3 would not perform under load. Put an old WW2 on it and changed the throttle linkage. While he had the truck, he tightened up the front spring mounts, installed the spotlights, and primed the bed and took it to Line-X.

When I arrived to pick up the truck we mounted the reflectors, license, mud flaps, etc.

At the rally, we had to change the set-up of the winch drum brake to prevent the cable from unspooling all at once. Also discovered the (new) voltage regulator isn't telling the alternator to charge the battery. Bob Cocivi had a jump pack to get me going on the trail ride. Half way through the battery didn't have enough voltage to run the electronic ignition. Rob Blair gave me one of the batteries out of his diesel M-37 and charged my battery on his way back.

Other than too much backlash in the transfer case causing clunking at low rpms, the truck performed great, moving down the highway at 60+ and then climbing the toughest hill with the ARB locker in the rear.

Still have some bugs to work out before the road rally in WV in October, but the truck is a joy to drive after 9 years.

Thanks to all who helped along the way.

See you out there!
