Yea, turns out it was Chris Davis's old truck. The one on his "Surplus Trucks" website, and there is no doubt about it. I've identified several known "personality marks", because beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as well as spoke with him on the phone the other night and tracked down the history between his last ownership and my current ownership and everything jives correctly. Man had the truck changed quite a bit over the past 10 years or so since he had finished it.
