had a vapor lock a week or so ago. got truck running after sitting and pouring water on a rag and cooling fuel line and carb base. went to start truck tonight and could not get it to start. turns over, has spark (pertronix), runs and then dies. i think it may be fuel pump related. zenith 29 carb equipped. it may be that the ethanol ate or swelled the pump diaphragm? i have a fuel line heat cover and metallic insulator pad for the heat shield to install, but need to get it running first. any ideas?
