Wouldn't an emp have the ability to fry your ignition coil on a rig with no transistors? Weren't the first transistors in alternators and ignition (replace points)? So probably the 70's these things started to creep into trucks. Surely someone else knows more. I'd be more worried about EMP damaging my computer hard drive, or a voltage spike entering my home through service panel or lightning strike to the neighborhood. I think skills like saving seeds and growing vegies/ preserving home grown food would be better learned and shared skills than hardening my vehicle electrics. What is your long term source of fuel for the truck post EMP?
