I am in a job that I make good money, but 3 years away from retirement, have hated it for several decades. Forget the money thing and choose what you want to do for the rest of your life ... if that is engineer, that is great, but if not, don't become an engineer or MBA for someone else. Another question ... how are you going to pay for it? I know a young couple who together have $90000 in student loans. When you think about starting out 4 years behind because of college and having to pay all of those loans back, they would have been better had they gone to a community college for 2 years and learned a trade, instead.
