Top Trunnion Pin?

Following the shop manual and Pauls photos im rebuilding my knuckles. I have all the bushings and bearings off. Now im trying to replace the upper trunnion Bushing with new ones from VPW. They WILL not drive on there! The Woodruff key is properly aligned. The bushing is actually coming off in small shards of metal and wallowing out the bushing. I have tryed removing the Woodruff keys on both sides after soaking them overnight. and gave it a little heat They Will not come out of there. I have done my best to figure this out and i need yalls help. If i can get the woodruff keys off i could use a timken bearing similar to the bottom trunnion design. Thanks in advance! I know im a rookie!
