You must have an extra special shop you go to. I have seen many many many items powder coated and been in a coating shop and the stuff does not provide a long term coating solution. The coating can be damaged and once that happens what ever has been coated is in for a rust fest. Its hard to strip off and impossible to repair if a repair should need to be done to the item that's powder coated. Its simply a fast cheap alternative to a quality paint job.
