Dan,
Did you use silica free blasting material? the reason I ask is the biggest coater in our area has this on their web site in the FAQ section:

Can I strip my own parts?
Yes you can as long as you do not sand blast them with silica sand or use a non-water soluable oil as a rust preventive after blasting. do not use any oils that contain silicone such as wd-40. using any of the above will cause fish eyes or outgassing defects in the powder as the powder is going through the curing process.

This from Aesthetic Finishers in Piqua, Ohio website. They get ink in all the magazines so I assume they are one of the "good"? shops. I kept an open mind on the stuff but they blew me off with any questions so that was strike three for me. I wanted everything glass smooth so I went with acrylic urethane. Another major factor was hauling stuff 2 hours away TWICE and trying to keep it from getting dinged up.

I'm open to using it but it's like finding a good chrome shop. Even if you do find one, you're at the mercy of the guy doing the said work at the time. Sadly, I have learned the hard way on that and do most everything in house to eliminate that variable.
