The building is 750 sf. That is as large as the zoning would allow. Even though I am in central VA, I ordered it with 40 lb/sf snow load and 110 mph wind load, way above zoning.
I have 110 and 220 outlets all over the place. There are florescent light over the workbench, and 2 metal halide prism light from the roof. It is LITERATELY as bright in there at night as it is in the sunshine ... something these old man's eyes desperately need. All of the electric is run in conduit.
Cost break down:
Concrete pad - 6" 4000 lb load = 6800
Building - put up and insulated =11000
Electric - described above =3200
Plywood, pegboard, paint = 300
Strips across floor to keep water out = 150
Epoxy-coat paint =650
Total =22150

Now about the floor. It is 100% epoxy and warranted by Epoxy-Coat for 20 years if the floor is properly prepped. It is tile red with black, white and jasper flakes. It took 5 hours to put it down, and 30 hours to "properly prep" it. But I think it looks pretty good. Learning to apply the flakes had a learning curve and are not quite as even as I would have liked.
