I own a rather nice 65 WM300 with a professionally built fire body. It's a great looking truck when it's shined up.It was a brush truck in Pa. It looks great in a parade and people love to look at it. The down side is that, if I take it to a parsde or show I get kids and adults climbing all over it without bothering to ask permission. This has taken a toll on the brightwork and paint.
I am begining to think the fire body would look better on a different truck. The fire body is quite heavy and I think the truck has earned a lighter duty assignment.
And Marty, It's a good thing you have someone like her watching after you.
