The deer, bear, and moose will object when you bring in some wolves. Is there any push to install wolves back east, or is that more "nature" than people are comfortable with? Do you have any cougars?

Considering the alternative, especially in such a crowded part of the world, I think a big park/wilderness/preserve is a great idea. People need a place to see what was there before they built cities. But I always get a kick out of the "forever" part of these wilderness preservation laws. "Forever" is only until congress or the legislature changes the rules, or a whole different country and a whole different government starts ruling that part of the world.

Wilderness is a luxury of a rich country. I'm glad we're currently rich enough to put some trees in the tree museum, as the song goes, but hard times will come again, as they always do, and at that point if "wilderness" is preserved it will only be because there are too few people left to exploit it or too few markets for what people can exploit out of it.
