After a few days i cut off the two long bolts. Im either going to drill them out myself or have my machinist do it. Also while the motor is out im replacing the motor mount which was in poor condition. The machinist already has my manifold and is going to resurface it, bake it in his oven and remove stuck bolts. Most importantly i ordered all of the parts to rebuild bushings, bearings, and other worn parts inside the bell housing. I also bought new bushings and pins for my clutch and brake pedals which were severely worn and as Paul and mac will attest that my clutch was very difficult to push in. Hopefully those replacements will clear up that issue. Im also going to flush my water jackets and put in a new water distribution tube to solve my minor over heating problem. Going back I really want to put some type of heat shielding under the passenger side floorboard because of the crazy amount of heat from the exhaust. (Although nice in the winter.) Last on the agenda is to turn my drums and replace knuckle bushings which i believe to be the source of my shimmying. While the motor is out and i have great amount of space I'm replacing the seals in my winch Which leaks some. These are the only things i skipped in my rebuild and it goes to show what you dont fix will come back and bite you in the ass. Thank you for asking
for asking. Im a bit hesitant to tear apart the clutch assembly but if i dont do it ill never learn, but i may have some questions later. I bought some split bearing pullers and other specialty tools to do these jobs. Hopefully after this i can stamp my WM300 Finished and move on to another project.
