If you'd be happy with an angle grinder, I have been satisfied with my DeWalt 4.5" angle grinder that I purchased from Lowe's several years ago. At that time, there were two very similar models (one made in China and the other in Mexico). I opted for the one from Mexico (I think it had ball bearings instead of bushings). This appears to be the current model of what I have:

I can't recommend an air die grinder, because the one I have is junk (cheap model from Lowe's or Home Depot). The bearings seized up after using it only a few times (but will still work, roughly, when re-lubed).
