I understand. I enjoy my classic cars when I drive them around and pretend it's 1947 and I'm Artie Shaw, driving around with Rita Hayworth or Ava Gardner or... who else was it he married; I forget.
(Actually, I DID drive around L.A. with Artie Shaw in my Packard limo - he lived down the street from us.)
But I've never really enjoyed restoring anything. It's work, and somebody who does that for a living deserves to get paid well. In the right places (Arizona, California) guys do restorations and make pretty good money - even doing old trucks.
