I have a vague recollection that there are a number of different ones, or maybe it's just the M37 that's different from the civilian PW. I've seen enough ambiguity that I think you should measure what you need and make sure the one you get has plenty of range of motion in the splines when it's at that length. There are lots of different homebrew winch setups too, so if it's not a factory winch, take that into consideration.
