Cowl Vent Gasket

Having a problem with keeping the cowl vent gasket in place when opening the vent. Original was not held in place by any adhesive as far as I could tell but it had come apart, so needed to be replaced. Replacement from Roberts needs to stretch slightly to fit. It pops off at one corner when the vent is opened.
What do you guys use to hold this gasket in place?
