I would not have tried to remove it unless there was an issue with them. John is correct count the gasket to be sure all fasteners have been removed, use ATF to break the rust it creeps in the best, have patience and do not cut the fasteners unless you have enough to weld on a nut or get a good grip with vice grips or you have experience drilling and tapping out holes, the block is not the place to learn. Patience, Patience, Patience, it’s not worth damaging the block or manifold. You have been getting major experience in the past few months I been reading your entries, but complete it your self the experience is worth more than what you will pay for someone else to do it, and you will pay since you started and now are in a bind.
