You are in a tough place. I get depressed when I see a talented guy like you that can play music. And having pursued it to putting your own studio together. I tried to learn guitar when I was in prison but quit every time I got some good callouses built up. I then moved on to the harmonica and suck at it.
Believe me the pen was no cake walk and it was not easy getting out. There is no such thing as paying you debt to society and starting over. Most people can't wait for you to get out of earshot so they can wag their tongs.So it was pretty much up to me to set my goals and make them happen. Been doing it for 41 years now, you can too.
