I hear exactly what you are saying Tom. I'll throw out some things that have worked for me.

I got of ALL forms of wheat. No bread, no beer (malt), no pasta, no french fries (using the same oil as fried wheat items), everything. It sucked for a month, but then the blackness began to lose its grip. A year later I felt like a new man, and the benefits keep coming after 2 years.

I got of as much sugar as possible. No more soda, no ice cream, no alcohol. Once my exhausted adrenal system began to repair itself, I could have a little of those on occasion. Too much and I get undeniable feedback that I have overindulged, but then I'm right back to good again.

Exercise - I don't get enough, but it always helps me feel lighter, and it helps me sleep better.

I haven't done it, but I love the suggestion to volunteer for the Special Olympics. Those kids are an inspiration to me on so many levels.

Keep moving. When I get bogged down I lock up. If I can keep one thing moving forward in my life, regardless of how small it is, the other things tend to tag along. I find that getting rid of extraneous things, either commitments or items, helps me feel lighter. Too much "stuff" around gets me bogged down, even supposedly "good" stuff. I have to avoid the temptation to throw out the baby with the bathwater. Focusing on one thing at a time helps me find clarity.

That's all I have for now. All the best to you, and thanks for reaching out. As a friend once said to me, "Who are we to deny others the joy of helping us." Who indeed.
