I got an old 1985 Craftsman 16 hp 44"cut that still runs like a dream. Cuts grass all summer and blows snow all winter. I use AMSoil 20W-50 in summer and AMSoil 5W-30 in Winter. It's a plain 5-speed trans with belt drive everything. She's made in USA by American Yard Products and has a Briggs & Stratton horizontally opposed flat head with good ol' splash oil system. Surely this engine could not have points, because I have never changed them!!! Does anyone here know that?
