I assume you are working on an early model 6 volt FFPW with a 3 post fuel gauge which is not working. So, you'd like to try one of the two post 6 volt gauges while keeping the original sending unit, right?

I have some thoughts, but maybe somebody has already done this and knows the process and can help us out.

I've often thought that it might be easier to have both the gauge and sender on the work bench so that you could easily mock up the wiring and see what goes on.
