i used a 'Kwik Wire' 14 circuit kit when I converted to 12V in my B3. Worked out well.

The big advantage of these kits is you get quality, correctly sized, color coded wire that is printed with the circuit name all the way down the wire. This helps a lot when you are under the truck wondering if the blue wire goes to the taillight, left turn signal, or gas tank sender (and you don't have a blue wire on two different circuits).

I also explicitly grounded everything important back to the battery. Eliminates the phantom ground problem.
