We use 100's of gal of round up in our no till farming operation. Once it touches the ground it is no longer good. But yes it takes a long time to work...but give it time. You could add some 24D to kill most things but the grass a lot sooner. Just make sure it is a calm day or you might kill some of the wife's flowers,
