I have been happy with the one step on this project. sanding between each coat. I am refinishing the 70 year old trim and cabs leaving some of the patina behind so any slight imbalance in finish should be hidden by the patina. I was going to start next week but got impatient and I have already started the brushing. coming out good so far. fist coat on.....
If it were all new cabs I would have done the stain then clear.
