6x6 Question

I have seen 6x6s made by mating the back half of a WC 62/63 frame to a PW (I have one in rough condition) and by putting a PW cab on a full WC 62/63 frame. What are your ideas on the pros and cons of each approach? My plans would be for a flatbed, so length in relation to an extended express bed is not a factor. I haven't measured mine yet, but I think the wheelbase of the mated frame truck is a little longer than the standard WC 62/63, which as I recall is 126" (meaning the center of the two rear wheels is the same as the PW wheelbase).
