i dont believe either is an easy swap. there is a t5 tranny swap kit available for the flathead. it for a car application. do not know about the bolt patterns, etc. best bet is to install a m37 tranny, bell housing and change the center hump and right side floorboard to make it all line up. you get syncros in all gears after first.
