i am unsure of your setup, but there were 2 difft pipe to muffler configurations. one has 2 pipe sections before the muffler and the second is a single pipe between the manifold and the manifold. the best setup is to buy or fabricate the single pipe manifold and cut it for the installation of a flex section. the engine flex and truck frame twisting have broken many a manifold.
